Mech Event 1920 01

1. Department of Mechanical Engineering, Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT) successfully organized a two-week workshop on “Computational Fluid Dynamics with ANSYS Fluent” during 23rd 2019 to 03 nd Jan. 2020.

This workshop organized under the Centre of Teaching and Learning (RIT-CTL) were students from the different colleges are participated.

Dr. Mrs. Sushma S. Kulkarni (Director, RIT), Dr. Sachin K. Patil (Dean Academics, Head Mechanical, RIT) & Prof. A. K. Patil (Workshop Coordinator).

2. Department of Mechanical Engineering arranged one day workshop on "CO refinement and revisions in CO-PO Mapping" on 09th December, 2019 (Monday)

All Mechanical Engineering department faculties are participated in this workshop. Discussion was held on CO refinement and revisions in CO-PO Mapping. Prof. S. B. Khot Coordinated entire workshop.

3. Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a one-day workshop on Curriculum Development of T. Y. B. Tech. (Mechanical engineering) on Tuesday, 10th Dec 2019.

Resource Persons: 

1. S. P. Chavan, Professor, ADCET, Ashta & Former Professor, WCE, Sangli.

2. Arjuna Rao, Head-Engine Development & Testing, Cooper Corp, Satara.

3. A. P. Patil, Divisional Manager, Head-Operations, Emerson Climate Technologies, Atit, Satara.

Dr. S. K. Patil (Dean Academics, Head Mechanical, RIT), Dr. S. M. Sawant, Dr. S. S. Gawade and Prof. M.V. Kavade welcomed the guests. Discussion over the Third-year curriculum of Mechanical was held during the workshop.  All faculties actively participated in the workshop. Faculties presented their course syllabus.

Prof. S. B. Khot coordinated entire workshop and Prof. P. M. Jadhav gave the vote of thanks to all external guests and faculties.

4. Indian Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) RIT Students chapter of Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Rajaramnagar organized an expert session on Thursday, 30th January 2020 at RIT.

 An Expert Talk on ‘Basics of refrigeration’ was delivered by Mr. Bharat Dhere sir & shared his knowledge regarding refrigeration cycles, construction & working of different refrigeration cycles with the help of real-life examples.

Mr. Rangrao Ekal sir highlighted the need & importance of Air Conditioners & also introduced the current scenario in AC industries in his session on ‘Basics of Air Conditioning’.

5. Department of Mechanical Engineering organized the 14thBoard of Studies (BOS) Meeting on Wednesday, 11thDecember 2019.

Dr. Ajaykumar Yadav, Asst. Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NITK, Surathkal, Dr. H.A. Mandave, Professor, KBPCOE, Satara, Mr. Nikhil Padate, Director, JANGS Technologies, Ichalkaranji, Mr. Nikhil Vaze, Director, Avani Industries, Kolhapur were present for the meeting and  given suggestions over the syllabus. 

Dr. S. K.Patil, Dr. S. S. Gawade, Dr. S. M. Sawant, Prof. M.V. Kavade, and Prof. B. R. Jadhav welcomed external BOS members. All the faculties of Mechanical Engineering Department have participated in the Meeting. Discussion was held on the curriculum of T.Y. B. Tech Mechanical Engineering.

6. Department of Mechanical Engineering, Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT) successfully organized a two-week workshop on CAD modelling and drafting using CATIA during 23rd 2019 to 02nd Jan. 2020.

This workshop organized under the Centre of Teaching and Learning (RIT-CTL) were students from the different colleges are participated.

7. Industrial Visit was organized for T. Y. B. Tech. Mechanical students to "Cooper Corporation, Mutha Industries, Satara" on 01/02/2020

The students were visited various department and Interaction with CEO, Mutha Industries and Head- Training & HR activities, Cooper corporation.

Visit was conducted under the guidance of Dr. A. P. Shah and Prof. A. K. Patil.

8. Industrial Visit was organized for Final Year B. Tech Mechanical engineering students to "Mahabal Metals Pvt. Ltd. Mira" on 21 September 2019.

The students were visited to various departments like Design, Machine Shop etc. Also have an interaction with R&D head for internship and project.

Visit was conducted under the guidance of Prof. C. A. Waghmare and Prof. A. B. Pawar

9. Mechanical Engineering, RIT have successfully organized 'An Online Alumni Meet of Mechanical Engineering, RIT, Alumni' on Saturday, 23rd May 2020 on zoom.

We have received exceptional alumni response from various sectors of India as well as other countries like Australia, UK, US, Singapore, Germany, England, Canada, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ireland, Taiwan etc. and 447 alumni s have graced the alumni meet program.

It is because of strong alumni support and assist of faculties of mechanical engineering dept this function have got grand success.

10. Mechanical Engineering Department of RIT, Sakharale organized online guest lecture of esteemed alumni Narendra Naukudkar (Masterand in Vehicle Production Department, WZL, Aachen, Germany) on Sunday, 19th April 2020 at 3.00 pm, to make aware RIT students about the recent development in research, technology, innovation, etc.

Those sessions have boosted the understanding of student’s in the areas such as an Additive Manufacturing and its recent trends.

We from RIT, Sakharale, express sincere thanks to alumni for delivering a session in such pandemic situation. The sessions was very nice and fruitful.

11. The Mechanical Engineering Department of RIT, Sakharale organized online guest lecture of esteemed alumni Shubham Chapne (Mechanical Design Engineer, Mayson Enterprises, Sandwich St, Windsor, Canada) on Sunday, 19th April 2020 at 10.00 am to make aware RIT students about the recent development in research, technology, innovation, etc.

Those sessions have boosted the understanding of student’s in the areas such as a self-drive cars.

We from RIT, Sakharale, express sincere thanks to alumnus for delivering a session in such pandemic situation.

The sessions was very nice and fruitful.

12. The Mechanical Engineering Department of RIT, Sakharale organized online guest lecture of esteemed alumni Sushil Pharande (Design Engineer, Cummins, Pune) on Sunday, 19th April 2020 at 2 pm to make aware RIT students about the recent development in research, technology, innovation, etc.

Those sessions have boosted the understanding of student’s in the areas such as SSB Interview Process & Tips.

We from RIT, Sakharale, express sincere thanks to alumnus for delivering a session in such pandemic situation. The sessions was very nice and fruitful.

13. Mechanical Engineering Department of RIT, Sakharale organized online guest lecture of Swapnil Kadam (Asst. motor vehicle inspector Govt. of Maharashtra at RTO) on 03 May 2020 at 11:15 am, to make aware RIT students about the Preparation of RTO exam.

We from RIT, Sakharale, express sincere thanks to Mr. Swapnil Kadam for delivering a session in such pandemic situation. The session was very nice and fruitful.

14. Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted Online Parent Meet on 22 April 2020 at Zoom Platform.

Dr. S. K. Patil (Dean Academics and Head, Mechanical Engineering) welcomed all parents and presented glimpses of various achievements and advancements in the department.

Parents were invited to preside the meeting, during that they have raised some questions related to exams, hostels facilities, students safety etc. in view of COVID -19. Also suggested some online activities like online assignments to make students concentration.

Dr. S .K. Patil has nicely responded to all the parents so all of them were satisfied with discussion. And they have appreciated the department for initiative programs conducting for the students and safety cares.

Its great achievement for us to reach largest number of parents using zoom platform.

Departmental faculties and staff have graced this online parent meet with their presence.

Prof. M. M. Mirza coordinated entire online parent meet and given a vote of thanks.
